As a sports photographer based in the North of England, I have a long-standing relationship with sport that started with my dad, who brought it into everyday family life. In my early years, I photographed grassroots football, developing film and printing images in my own darkroom before supplying photographs to regional titles across Dumfries and Galloway, including the Galloway News, Dumfries Standard and Annan Courier.
